BISMILLAAH Assalamoalaikum WR WB, Qur'an 2:30 (Tafseer Al-Qurtubi) (This profile has somewhat been on-hold/ postponed for now, for I am to attend to some matters requiring immediate attention. I may not be able to immediately proceed with the matter of marriage. May ALLAAH SWT Bring the Best for all the Muslims, Aameen) (It wasn't supposed to be this hard...) (Please excuse the `private` settings for photos as default. I do not mind sharing InShaaALLAAH. Its just that I kind of find it embarrassing to be here, despite realizing how it might be a necessity for those who're disconnected from the community. Ya ALLAAH, it'd be hard explaining to kids (InShaaALLAAH).) You know what, this online thing has an emotional and a character (ethical) toll on me since one only approaches having read and knowing someone from their description which builds their positive impression in mind. This doesn't seem conscientious browsing profiles; a rabbit hole to lonesomes fascinated by reading what people have written... a weird form of socializing. I feel morally low with this Na Mehram thing and would rather go offline. If only I had the people in my life I could trust with searching me spouse and be comfortable talking my preferences to... Only parents can push you to marriage with reassurances overcoming doubts about a prospect, otherwise we're always going to be picky. May ALLAAH Help all Muslims, Aameen. Anyways, here goes... I belong to Dera Ismail Khan (NWFP) and am currently located in Karachi pursuing my religious studies part-time. i work as an independent Software Engineer (quit job to be self-employed), I hold an EE degree though. ALHAMDOLILLAAH i have completed my Bachelors (89%) from perhaps the most well-reputed university in Islamabad. Raised as the only child. Almost 10 years since parents passed away. Living independently. Heads up: Quite some/ almost bald on top (thats how you know I'm good at my profession), bearded, has some prominent grey hair (to a concerning extent); and a little extra weight (when measured). I once had plans for MS and PhD but thats another story. Lineage-wise, Afghan/ one of the Mughal clans, didn't speak Pashto in family. Spoke Saraiki. Followed the Deobandi creed (i have Salafi inclinations. Lets reject discord and labels due to Quran 6:159). Parents had been teachers/ officers in the education department of the provincial government. Father headed reputed institutes. Theirs was an arranged marriage. ALHAMDOLILLAAH, was brought up with conservative values and they're dear to me. I hold orthodox beliefs about marriage. To those balking due to the mother tongue, I think I speak decent Urdu and English ALHAMDOLILLAAH. I would like to be more religious than i am. I would like Quran and Sunnah be the judge in disputes. Link to professional profile/ documents/ pictures would be shared as required InShaALLAAH. I do not say monasticism, but I read the Qur'an and do not find the `balance between Deen and Dunya` that people so desire. I come to believe that the real test of a Momin is in Halaal. (Feel free to teach me better, I am not arrogant in revising my opinion when presented with knowledge). I live in an old-fashioned/ traditional house with courtyard and Baramda (veranda) and would like to remain so. I tend to suffocate in the worldly-life-focused luxury seeking concrete enclosures of modern construction and absolutely abhor the naked architecture of large cities that offers no Purdah and privacy where the walls are hardly shoulder high and the windows open in the neighbours' premises and which do not protect the privacy of inhabitants, perhaps worse in the night due to indoor lights. In fact, it is often that walking out of such false-conditioned enclosures, a warm breeze is a refreshing welcome to reality. My quest in life, InShaaALLAAH TaAala, is, Qur'an 2:30 (Tafseer Al-Qurtubi). Cons: - VERY IMPORTANT: I am very keen, ALHAMDOLILLAAH, on what i earn and eat; and this could possibly bring real financial hardships (May ALLAAH Save, Aameen) for i am very selective even among what is usually considered Halaal (I do not understand rent and so do not rent my property. ALHAMDOLILLAAH i earn by the engineering skills i have.) - VERY IMPORTANT: I do not like contradiction, and have been trying to rid myself of such one by one till now; and would not like to compromise and tolerate contradictions in the matter of Islam in very particular. - i work from my residence, so i may be around about 24 hours, except Masjid and groceries; ....in case that bothers - my steadfastness on religion in terms of Aa'maal keeps rising and falling and rising again. I am at weakness not to be firm. But ALHAMDOLILLAAH i have the eyes set on correct path. - CRITICAL: i very much like the dunya and the Halaal Blessings of ALLAAH SWT. its just that i do not want to have them while it compromises even the Mustahab. At times, this distresses me mentally (lack of faith and eyes on Aakhirah? AOOZOBILLAAH), for I was raised and educated aspiring for dunya but here i am grown up (and older) finding out the foundations of a Halaal society in which to live, work and operate do not exist.... and so i am kind of pulled apart between the desire for Halaal dunya and the needful that (in my view) ALLAAH Requires of His servants. A peaceful life is a luxury the individuals of this Ummah cannot afford in these times of trials. (by dunya, i mean just a decent comfortable (kind of middle class?) family life... i don't like luxuries and status gaps between people) - highly conservative, orthodox, narrowminded and possessive in matters of family (spouse) - i may very positively not meet the piety standards, but i certainly do not wish to remain so and actively looking to build a pious life InShaaALLAAH Weaknesses: - i am strongly affected by the slightest incidents... which may demoralize or depress, or uplift me. - i prethink scenarios. i should rather do more Tawakkul Al ALLAAH - i am not tolerant of compromise in matters of (religious) right and wrong, and strive to achieve idealist perfection. (i have a hard time accepting little wrong for greater good; and rather search for the way which is completely right)
