They care about me, accept my shortcomings, and respect me. With some of them, I have a deeper friendship. They find me trustworthy and knowledgeable and seek my advice or help on many business and personal matters. Others consider me ethical, humble, and humorous (when appropriate). Great friends make life more enjoyable. In general, I trust people until they repeatedly demonstrate they do not deserve such privilege. I like people to treat me as nice as I treat them. I do not like lies, hidden agendas, taken for granted, selfishness, games, gossip, and secrets between husband and wife. I try to be loyal and dependable to my close friends and strive to keep a healthy relationship with them. However, I reserve the best for the special woman in my life. With her, I cultivate and maintain a special relationship. She is my priority, With her, I am totally committed, attentive, affectionate, generous, loyal, protective, and do my utmost to honor my promises to her. Of course, when it is necessary to lead or be firm in some areas, I will do so. I have been searching for a compatible partner. While looking, I noticed most women initially focus on the man's appearance and age. Given this reality, whether through my photos or in person, some consider me handsome. I am also told I look much younger than my age. I also feel younger too. I am a former soccer player and for years I did swimming too. In addition, I have also adopted a healthy lifestyle as I do not smoke, drink, or do drugs. I eat healthy and halal. So physically and mentally, it feels like I am in my 40s. More importantly, I think and act accordingly. I am active and productive. However, if you like who I am, yet are concerned about my age, you should not. Why? It is not relevant, especially in my case. Will the relationship work with an age gap? Some relationships do. Who said that? Experts, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, and other professionals have studied the subject for decades and determined that relationships succeed or fail, not because of the age difference, but because of other factors, such as infidelity, lack of respect, neglect, different expectations, or constant arguing and fighting about other issues. Furthermore, to support such findings is that in some countries, the divorce rate exceeds 60%. Research has also shown most couples who had separated were close to each other in age! Even more revealing is that the couple's age was not cited among the top 10 reasons people dissolved their marriage. These are facts backed by empirical statistics that scientific research has documented. Given this perspective, age is not as important as contemporary society has made it to be. But things are slowly changing. Today we see many older women having relationships with younger men and vice versa. Incidentally, this is not new. Our Prophet, Peace Be Upon Him, had married older and younger women and treated them all well. Thus, there are precedents in Islamic history, it has been a Muslim tradition. Just to be clear, this point is about age difference between partners, not polygamy which I do not practice nor want. Regardless of science and history, I believe that if a man and a woman: 1. Understand each other well 2. Truly love each other 3. Communicate freely and honestly 4. Have reasonable expectations about each other 5. Enjoy mutual respect and support 6. Resolve their conflicts lovingly and fairly They are most likely to succeed in building a happy, healthy, and enduring marriage. I understand human psychology and how relationships work. In addition, I have most of the qualities that many women desire and have been ready for a serious relationship. However, I have not found a compatible woman. I am not looking for perfection.
