Imagine humans were blind... what would then be important and necessary when it comes to choosing your zawj? I love Allah but like most of us have been ignorant and often neglectful in my deen. i believe and understand that there will be an accounting for my deeds and an i am seeking allah's forgiveness and mercy with regard to my short comings. I was married once and the experience was a test, not only did I fail miserably but one that left me scarred and twisted emotionally and spiritually for nearly a decade. By Allah's mercy i am beginning to understand my mistakes and the test Allah gave to me little by little. I have come to realize that i am not strong enough by myself in this dunnah without the help of other mu'min beside me. Not sure if i deserve a wife or if i should even be seeking one. The idea of waking up every day with someone who helps remind me of Allah and my obligations to him and joins and supports me in my journey towards him is to me very appealing and perhaps very much necessary.
