I reject the common incorrect idea that a wife has to generally “submit” to her husband. Rather, both husband & wife are obligated to submit to the rights commanded by Allah ﷻ. Some rights being similar & some different. But also, the best kind of marriage is one in which spouses operate with each other from a place of love for eachother & Allahﷻ, giving more than what are just the minimum obligations. I’d like to be married to my best friend, who loves to be loving & be loved, & who is emotionally available, willing, & capable to nurture this kind of marriage together “His money is ours, her money is hers” Must have this mindset, & currently be making at least 100k+ USD yearly. Also can & will soon buy a nice home & land to own together with his wife.
