Alhamdoulila I am lucky to be in a profession I love - education. I started out teaching English in school, colleges and sixth-forms full-time and worked my way up in leadership. Currently, I’m an Assistant Headteacher in a secondary school. I’ve been raised in a moderately practicing, traditional family. My parents are hard-working and raised my siblings and I to have high morals and live law-abiding lives. We are very family orientated, but also understand what it means to respect each other’s privacy. I wear hijab, pray five times, fast etc. I would like to continue working on my deen and would like to go on this journey with my future husband so we can support each other. In my free time, I like to read a lot. I am working on some writing projects that I am very passionate about. I like keeping up with world events and current affairs. I find long drives therapeutic and am not averse to hopping in the car in the summer months to watch sunrise at the beach. I enjoy spending time with family and friends - going to the theatre, cinema or out to eat. Last but not least, I love a lazy afternoon on a windy day with the rain pelting on the window outside, watching a good film with my adorable cat on my lap :-) It would be wonderful to meet someone, who is like-minded and someone who would like to go a journey of growth together. I try every day and it's a central part of my life but I am not rigid and believe everyone follows the path of faith in the way and time that is written for them and it can’t be forced, though it is possible to support and encourage.
