Alhamdoulila I am lucky to be in a profession I love - education. I started out teaching English in school, colleges and sixth-forms full-time and worked my way up in leadership. Currently, I’m an Assistant Headteacher in a secondary school. I’ve been raised in a moderately practicing, traditional family. My parents are hard-working and raised my siblings and I to have high morals and live law-abiding lives. We are very family orientated, but also understand what it means to respect each other’s privacy. I wear hijab, pray five times, fast etc. I would like to continue working on my deen and would like to go on this journey with my future husband so we can support each other. In my free time, I like to read a lot. I am working on some writing projects that I am very passionate about. I like keeping up with world events and current affairs. I find long drives therapeutic and am not averse to hopping in the car in the summer months to watch sunrise at the beach. I enjoy spending time with family and friends - going to the theatre, cinema or out to eat. Last but not least, I love a lazy afternoon on a windy day with the rain pelting on the window outside, watching a good film with my adorable cat on my lap :-) It would be wonderful to meet someone, who is like-minded and someone who would like to go a journey of growth together. Every day is a chance to begin again.
The following is not the beginning and insha'Allah it's not the end , just a short synopsis. Having reached the age in life that I am at now, I'm quite grounded re myself and life's experiences. I do realise that I am most definitely not one of the younger sisters on this site or indeed middle aged !!. I am though a firm believer that there is no specific age for marriage. Companionship, love, can come into ones life at any time. I do not think I have ever been an extrovert person, there has always been a slight shyness in my personality.
